almost a poem

I look around

and I see you

In the luxuriant green

of woods

In the shy transparency

of dew

in the obsequious work

of insects

in the generous wisdom

of sun

I see and smell you

round here

When houses laugh

and pines live

looking human

when the sea falls down again

and invades you

telling about far lands

in the chorus of the seagulls

over the salty sand

in the cry of an eagle

over echoing peaks

you are there

always different

always the same

hidden by the vanity of the stars

buried by the voracity of the magma

you are there

and when I don’t know anymore

I look around

and I see you
