mermaid

I know you

you’re a siren

yes a siren

the sleek skin of the serpent

the vermilion eyes of the sea

so deep that make me dream

the shining hair to the sunbeams

on the small bay

in the falling day

yes you’re a mermaid in the sunset

you look sad

as you do not exist

your beauty is so long

let me tell you

like the horizon

that turns around the sea

to not be reached

your smile as strange

as the Gioconda’s

you look flimsy

as you believe in nothing

I wish I hold your hand

but waves are claiming first

you nod to the sun and dive down

like a skilled dolphin

in the secret dimensions

of your coral world

you have disappeared

perhaps you have never been there

winks the sun

while he plunges with you

in this fairy night
