This region has a very interesting history and several site whose archaeological interest makes it worth to visit.

- Selinunte (km 12 away .), with the ancient Greek town and Doric temples crowning an amazing scenario created by the "Dune" sands and by the blue of the African sea;

- Eraclea Minoa (Km 30 away) with his enchanting Greek theatre;

- Sciacca (Km 20 away ) with its Spas and its monuments , such as the Dome, and the St. Margaret's Church, a holy building whose origins go back about to 1200. The visit to the "Enchanted Castle" is interesting as well, it deals with an original creation of a weird self-teaching artist , that has made sculptures, using trees and stones, and getting heads from them;

- Agrigento (Km 85 away )with the wonderful Greek temples valley, celebrated all over the world;

- Sambuca di Sicilia (km 15 away ), little town with middle age flair, whose Muslim civilization traces are still evident on the historical center;

- Santa Margherita Belice (Km 10 away ) location of the Literary park "Giuseppe Tomasi di Lampedusa" and "Gattopardo city" with its palace and the gardens;

- Erice (Km 100 away ) , The headquarters of the " Centro di cultura scientifica Ettore Majorana"' [worldwide known international centre for Scientific researches ], keeps its old middle age borough fascination still untouched, with its little squares covered with flowers and the little alleys filled with lot of little traditional handcraft boutiques ;

- Segesta (Km 80 away) ,a dead city that Archaeologists digging the territory found underneath the ground level , bringing two awesome "cathedrals " to the open air :the Theatre and the Doric temple.

-The Zingaro "oriented natural reservation" ( Km 70) 4.003,11 acres covering one of the most enchanting landscape in Sicily, is the first natural reservation ever created in Sicily (may-6th 1981), over a 4,35 miles coast , in one of the most naturally intact of the whole island. It deals with mountains rising from the sea, ran across by paths leading you to the discovery of such wonderful and incomparable beauty views. Above 800 species of plants of huge naturalistic and landscape interest have their home place in the reservation.

- The River Belice Mouth "oriented natural reservation" ( Km 4 ),created on may 1984, covers a short strech of the southern coast of the island (between Porto Palo and Selinunte), the more typically "african" one, strongly marked by deep extensions of dunes and peaceful zones of the mouth, it deals here of a naturalistic system articulated in a row of coast dunes ,they can be about 19,69 feet tall , covering about 3,11 mi and also extended in some hinterland , even for 229,66 feet or 262,47 feet in a river mouth area rich with marsh vegetation , rare nowadays;

- Montevago (Km 12 away), has natural hot water spas.
