The work of
an artist is-as such-always outdated.Being updated implies supporting
the needs and urgencies of power as well as the need to bring an
apparent order to the course of time. The artist works in a time which is
different from the present one because he acts on the basis of
collective memory it is the whole history of art which contributes to
forming his cultural background and way of being thus making his
proposals up-to-date.
