The Trevithick Society
The Trevithick Society, a registered Charity formed in 1970 from the Cornish Engine Preservation Society of 1945, is a recognised body for the study of industrual archaeology in Cornwall. The Society takes its name from one of Britain's foremost inventors and pioneers of the Industrial Revolution, Richard Trevithick, a Cornishman whose name is inseparable from the development of steam power.
