The Arthur Woolf engine

To save coal the Woolf engine was the first two cylinder engine to work by steam expansion in a second cylinder.
After have worked in the first cylinder at 3 kg/cm² pressure, steam expands in the second where drives a piston joined to the same shaft.
To increase the efficiency the steam exhausts in a condenser vacuum operate.
The diameter of the second cylinder was, about, 1 metre.
