The charnel house in the SASSI cemetery: my grandfather's final resting place

The funeral took place on Friday November 20 1931 in the cemetery of the SASSI suburb  few meters away from the river PO, hundreds yards from the Casotto di Superga. A anonymous grave in the earth, with a wooden cross without a photo, with an engraved name only.

That's what remains: no hopes, no dreams, the silence only.

 In 1951 his mortal remains were buried in the charnel house beneath the stone cross in the middle of the small cemetery.
