Since 1940 three generations of Kristi's family have spent summers at the Ingleside cottage in Eagles Mere, an idyllic town set in the forest around a mountaintop lake. Kristi's parents, Susan and Arnold, were married in Eagles Mere in 1968.

In recent summers Brian and his parents, Karen and Richard Herman, have given Eagles Mere a 'thumbs-up' and joined the Dahms in hiking, canoeing, and relaxing around the cottage.
