Subskin by a landslide! So, here I am, running through a Disney game marketed almost exclusively for pre-teen gamers.
Right off the bat Disney includes a full screen reminder that the game is rated "E for Everyone." Don't read too much into that "Everyone" statement; Toy Story 2 is for twenty-year-olds like is for five-year-olds.
The in-game graphics are also tailored to the young crowd.
Even the Etch-a-sketch plays a significant part in the game.
With moderate Crayola-like color, the level select screen was totally appealing even to a jaded old gamer like me.
In the course of the game you get to explore everything from kitchens to swimming pools to construction yards, all from a toy's perspective.
Luckily, the game is kept easy enough for Junior in that you only have to find one of the five tokens to move on to the next level.

| E-mail: Password: | background color: search: Downloads GameSpot Review 6.2 fair Gameplay 6 Graphics 7 Sound 6 Value 6 Tilt 6 Finding Nemo is an average Disney game with a few kinks that mar an otherwise decent experience.
Traveller's Tales, the developer behind the game adaptation of Finding Nemo , is no stranger to making games out of Pixar properties.
In the past, the company has been responsible for bringing A Bug's Life and Toy Story to consoles, and while the company's experience is evident in Finding Nemo, this 3D action adventure game is not quite as fun as it could have been.
While Finding Nemo does a fine job of re-creating the lighthearted story of the film by alternating between gameplay and FMV taken directly from the movie, the game is a short ride that is fraught with frustration and repetition.
Set in a lush underwater world, the game gives you several objectives in each level, the most important of which is simply finding the end of the level and moving the story along to the next chapter.
Upon completing a certain number of these objectives, you'll unlock a simple minigame.
Since the game is geared toward the casual player, the controls and gameplay are very simple.
Even the most novice of players should be able to pick the game up quickly.
Additionally, the game employs just a few different styles of gameplay: side-scrolling sequences, sequences where you're either swimming away from or toward the end of a level, and sequences where you'll have to bounce on blocks, much like in the arcade classic Q*Bert.

More Spinning than the Tea Cups The game engine is based on that in Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 4.
The animation for these comical moves is what you'd expect from a Disney game: great! For example, while Pumbaa rides the board, partner Timon will fly through the air, balance on Pumbaa's snout or perform other over-the-top moves.
Disney's Extreme Skate Adventure delivers lively Disney action backed by the renowned Tony Hawk game engine.

I wish all their games were this good.
The premise for the game is simple and straightforward.
The game is a straight forward seek and rescue format.
There are really only two difficult tasks in the game, which may require you to assist your child.
There also arcade style mini-games throughout the various levels that are fun to play.
Some are one-person games and some are two-person games.
The main game, however, is just a one-player game.
It's easy to keep track of where you are in the game.
Every time you get hit, or when you pause the game you see the puppy paw.
When you lose one paw you restart the level, when you lose all the paws the game is over.
Basically, this is a simple game to understand and is pretty easy to play, but more challenging to win.
That's what makes this game so nice.
Best of all you can save your game, which isn't always a given in children's games.
I think this is a great game that is fun for the entire family.
I wish all of Disney's game efforts were this good.

Gameplay: after the first few games the questions repeat themselves.
I think that the game should not only have more questions but it should be more like the actual show.
