Anime Tourist: Bob Bergen Speaks Out!
Interview on his work in 'Spirited Away' and other projects.

  • John Lassiter of Pixar is a great guy.  And I understand he has a huge place in his heart for Spirited Away.  Mickie McGowan, who has cast me in many animated features, pretty much handed my this project.  She ROCKS!! AT How did you get into voice acting? BB When I was 5 years old I told my parents I wanted to be Porky Pig.  My family moved to Los Angeles when I was 14.  I started studying voice acting with a guy named Daws Butler, who was the voice of Yogi Bear, Elroy Jetson, and hundreds of other classic characters.  When I was 18, I got my first cartoon which was Spiderman.  The first film I did was Gremlins, and the first anime feature was Akira.  I've voiced Porky since 1990.
