We at Reason have covered and blogged the twists and turns of Gilmore's fight so often and for so long I can only guide you to this (make sure you click through to all four pages!) and my first, and most thorough, about Gilmore's case back in 2003, when it was just a little baby crawling its way through District Court

Daily Kos
Daily weblog with political analysis on US current events from a liberal perspective.
CT-Sen: Credit given where credit is due by Tue Aug 08, 2006 at 12:10:08 AM PDT : this campaign could have been a lesson to the establishment media that the progressive netroots are just a subset of the progressive movement, just as the progressive blogosphere is a subset of the progressive netroots
The progressive blogosphere is only about one-third of the progressive netroots, and the progressive netroots are only about on-third of the progressive movement (and the progressive movement has grown to about half the size of the Democratic Party). They could have learned about all of this, and they could have learned that the Internet side of the operation basically just functions as another department in the campaign, just like field, communications and political are departments within campaigns
They could have learned this, but they would rather blame the downfall of the Democratic Party entirely upon a small handful of national bloggers who gather for drinks at Sullivan's
I wrote about the race and suddenly people want to give this blog (and me) all sorts of credit/blame
Only the laziest of lazy reporters and pundits can lay this at the feet of me or any other blogger

I’ve been having to beg time on satellite modems to file and with only 5-10 minutes at a time to send and receive email, that doesn’t give a lot of time to write blog posts
On several right-wing blogs, including the National Review Online, a comment I made about Hizbullah’s security measures and their “hassling” of journalists has been taken to mean that we’re all Hizbullah stooges here … or something

The Los Angeles Times tried out a 'wikitorial, ' a collaboratively written editorial, and had to soon after it went live because it was being flooded with 'inappropriate material.' And last year, Technology Review 's own Wade Roush used his blog to write a magazine story, '' -- an experiment that's much easier to handle
After all, you can always turn off the comments on a blog -- not so much on a wiki
In 2002, when I worked there, an editor told me that blogs were nothing more than glorified home pages
Any transfer and/or publication of the nature of the information contained herein, with the expressed exception of internal reference, is strictly prohibited. Each day, as we walk the byways andflash along the Highway of Light:There are those who are leftstanding, as the march to flightgoes by some to stop and wonder at the enormous potential at whathas been created:But others who are left, standing in a rut at the side of the road, a rut too soon to become an abyss. So Then? What to do?Have said before, too many times to count, yet shall say again, as often as need be, until there is clarity in the air:The time has come to put a fence at the top of the cliff instead of a net at the bottom: Thus giving a chance to build a bridge over the abyss.http://abota.blogsource.com Modified: 8/23/2006 2:43:03 PM by gabrielg01 8/24/2006 10:43 AM This is the negative side of the 'long tail', as you can just see it above

Lauras work takes its place alongside blogs like, (Riverbend's last there about more people being forced out of Baghdad by the Madhi army is simply terrifying and leaves me wondering how Dr Riyadh and his family are coping) or the webcomic (written by Anthony Lappe who has reported from there) as part of a growing amount of different media which is putting a more personal face on what is happening, which is a good thing in my book
