CONCLUSION:

● apart from 1 appearance each of the names Clare and Clare, the name is always given as plain Clara

● the author remembers hearing her sisters call her Clara

● as to her 2nd name, the initial “E” appears once, in the 1910 census (it is clearly an “E”, and her own Mother would surely have not have given the wrong initial), and “F” twice, both times in later life

● as her mother’s name was Frances Harriet, it is possible that the initial, if it was an “F”, stood for Frances

● Moses emigrated to the USA in 1920CENSUS

● if the 1940 census entry for Clara Weir, widow, is her, he died before then

● nothing more is known about him

● George M. married (1) 9 JAN 1923, Rennselaer County, New York, USA, Helen WalshBMD
