They were one of the early bands that made an impact in the late 70's... Negative Trend had a 7"ep (later reissued as a 12" on alternative tentacles) and early demoes (reissued on cd in the early-90's).
It would be their second incarnation that would be remembered, as it was the version that was fronted by former F-word (77 band from l.a.) frontman, rik L rik... Only a demo was recorded with the first singer, of which can be found on cd.
Negative Trend would be short-lived, and rik would return to l.a., and start the rik L rik band, who would have a single and comp tracks on posh boy's "beach blvd." lp. the rest of the band would mutate into Flipper.
