Sweep Picking and Arpeggio > Deepening: sweep picking on major arpeggio
Deepening now in some methods useful to go through various positions of the
major arpeggio.
A first method aim to preserve the fingerings studied till now.
The six following exercises focus the attention on the first finger of the left
hand, that go through consecutive positions by a slide.
Example 1 : A major arpeggio
----------------------------
This sweep picking involves three positions of the A major arpeggio.

In the previous six exercises we have used the first finger of the left hand to
go through various positions of the major arpeggio.
The advantages about playing in this way are that we are using finger patterns
studied in the preceding lessons and, if we choose a rhythm in sextuplets, the
time always falls on the first finger of the left hand.
Now ask to us if it's possible to go through consecutive positions of the major
arpeggio by a slide no placed on the 1st or 5th string, always aim to keep the
fingerings studied.
The following three exercises show the existing of only one slide besides the
ones on the 1st and 5th string.

This sweep picking involves two positions of the F major arpeggio.
