NEWS  ONLINE

 LCROSS IMPACT DAY

The impact date is on October 9, 2009 at 11:30 UT. The impact will not be observable from Europe, Africa and Asia. The selected crater is a 17km diameter unnamed crater on the northwest rim of 48 km diameter Cabeus A.
The Geologic Lunar Research group (GLR) set out to coordinate its team of American observers for this impact event. This will be done completely through the internet, specifically through the use of e-mail. The editorial Board of Selenology Today will collect images including possible primary analysis if any impact effect will be detected with amateur instrumentation.

We invite all readers of Selenology Today to send possible observations (positive or negative) or own articles to editorial board.
