Organizzazione interna e management:
Automatic fire suppression equipment is designed and
installed to protect the plant from a major fire or loss. To have this
protection impaired or out of service for any reason (including maintenance)
increases the potential for a large loss at the plant.
Procedures for controlling impairments to fire protection
systems should include the following five steps:
-
Notify plant management, the Plant Emergency
Organization, the local fire department, and the alarm company of the
impairment. Also notify the insurance company and broker.
-
Document that the system is out of service by using
“impaired protection tags” or other method.
-
Take precautions during the impairment to provide
temporary protection and security. Do not conduct hazardous operations
such a welding during impairment.
-
Conduct corrective efforts immediately and minimize
impairment time.
-
Test the system after it has been restored to service
to verify that it is operating properly.

Descrizione di
eventuali contingency plannings e di disaster recovery plans
predisposti per questa ubicazione:
|
revisione dei piani medesimi (“Response plans are
available and documented covering fire, flood, windstorm, bomb threat, and
other events as appropriate.
The plan is reviewed and revised as necessary on a regular basis.”); |
|
thorough plan is available for resumption of operations after damage to the
plant, loss of utilities, and/or loss of suppliers.
