Subject: Just a new update...
Ciao Girls and Boys..
I am still alive! Yea.. There have been some bombs in Sri Lanka and in Thailand
but if I had to change world I would not mind as I am having an AMAZING time
and doing something that I really wanted to do from a long time. I wish it could
last more than just few weeks.. Maybe a year or more but hopefully I will try
to travel more in the years to come as well! This is another update of my trip..
I hope that I am not boring you guys with all the nice things but hey.. Somebody
have to have a good time :) This time it is me I guess.. but hope that you are
all having a good time at work. Don't worry I will too be back to the real world
soon!
Currently I am writing to you from Bangkok. I have left Colombo around the 13th of this month and went to Singapore where I spent 3 nights. Very nice and clean country and loads of shopping to do! Everybody says that shopping for electronics is cheaper there but I find it cheaper on EBAY! They have some amazing buildings and shopping centres.. I also went to an Island called Santosa. Very touristy! Got cable car to get there and had few tours around the Island and went also to the Under water world. The Island also has some artificial beeches and palm trees. On the way back from the Island on the cable car I met this English guy who was also returning back from Santosa (Chico was his name). He had quit his job and was around a world tour for 1 year! He has been to South America and said that it is a place to go! We went for a couple of beers together and had a good time.
Now I have been in Bangkok since Friday. I have not been able to have as much fun as I had to sort some stuff out for some work and had to write few documents and emails for it, took a bit of my time but hopefully everything should be sorted and hopefully from tomorrow I am going to roll again!!.. In the week end I went Clubbing with some Thai friends of mine and yesterday I went for Dinner with an x work mate of mine and today I went for Lunch with some friends from my Old Uni Loughborough :) Been also doing some shopping.. Everything is soo cheap here but most of the stuff is FAKE but you can't really tell. Also Electronic is quite cheap!
Wish I had loads of money! I think that I have been spending
too much as my bank has blocked my credit card. It was not good news as I thought
that I was going to be stuck in here paying the hotel by washing plates but
manage to sort it out :) Tomorrow morning I have an early morning as going to
the floating market. Hope to get some amazing pictures.. then in the evening
I am taking the bus with a group and travelling up north to Chang Mai (12 hours
bus ride from Bangkok) There I will be doing Trekking in the jungle, elephant
rides, sleeping in the local villages and bamboo rafting for 2 nights and 3
days. Then I was planning to come back to Bangkok by Train. I have my return
flight to Colombo on the 25th but I might delay it for another 3 days as I want
also to go to Cambodia for few days if I manage and they don't hassle me with
Visa! Hope that even they won’t think that I am not going to leave the
country and not give me visa! Was wanting to go to Vietnam as well but I don't
think that I have enough time... There are soo many places to visit around here..
10days is not enough at all!! You need at least 3 months to visit all the places
properly. Well girls and boys.. I think that I have bored you enough now with
my info..
I have to go and pack as I have to check out tomorrow early morning..
