Hi everyone, I write because I DO need your help. Probably you noticed the video server, www.rsgmann.nerdnet.com , has been down in the last month and is still down. This happened because Alan, the person the owner of the server where the videos are stored, had serious problems in the last month. His business partner didn't behave well at all and now he lost a part of his servers and his work. Furthermore, he has other problems with his family. I can't write here his personal things but I just want all you to know that IT'S A VERY DIFFICULT PERIOD FOR ALAN. I sincerely don't mind about the videos - they will be back I believe. But I love Alan as a person and I want him to be happy. He has always been nice with all of us, replying to the emails when people asked help, offering webspace, making the videos, he even bought a capture card (it's very expensive) to do them. He made the new layout in PHP asking help to all his work partners. He spent a lot of time to make RG more popular and let more and more people know better this fantastic sport. And, most of all he is a wonderful friend, and I love him as a person. In this period, he's really depressed and he isn't able to find a reason to go on with his work. So I ask all of you to give some help out to us.

Please write down some words to encourage Alan to go on with everything. I know many people here know him well and appreciate him. He is always afraid he isn't good enough for his family, hio work, hig daughters, he always want to give more to the others because he fears he doesn't behave well. I think he needs to know that he isn't as bad as he thinks to be. He REALLY needs some help from his online friends. His real friends in life are already trying to stay near him and cheering him up. Write me an email ( gabberina@libero.it ) where you put some words of support for Alan. Then I will print them and send them to him as a gift from all the RG community. Please note this is a human problem - it doens't deal with the videos. I don't want to tease him with this further problem, because he already feels guilty for not keeping the site online etc. but I know it was not his fault. So I ask all of you this:

1) For Alan: Write me emails with encouragements to Alan, for his life and his work. If you ever downloaded the videos from the site and you loved them, you owe everything to him. So I think he deserves a little help in this horrible period. Please, do it for Lally also :o)

2) For the videos: If ANYONE has a domain name with more than 100 MB of space and a high bandwidth and wants to offer space for the videos, please write me. We would greatly appreciate it. I would love to free Alan of some work. He can't do everything alone. He has to maintain his own server, get the videos from the tapes, convert them, create the html pages. It's TOO much. He has to work and he has a family!
