'The Gardens' starts to dry out The Springfield News-Leader
Dozens of dehumidifiers hummed in the Gardens' hallways Tuesday as workers carted out chunks of drywall. Seventy-five residents of the Springfield assisted-living facility were evacuated in the early morning hours when a sprinkler pipe broke. Officials have not determined what caused the break.
