Matteo Bestetti (sax alto, soprano, baritono) was born in Varese, in 1974. He plays the saxophone. His passion for the jazz, started when he was 20 years old and led him music to ch’ange from clarinet (that he had played so far in the Corpo Bandistico “S. Giuseppe” of Causso al Monte) to sax. He plays the bariton and soprano too.
In 2003 he look part in the senesi workshops of jazz music and he studied with the teachers M. Negri, A. Succi, E. Colombo, M. Raja and S. Zenni.
He performs in didderent musiclocations in Milan with blues and soul bands.
At the moment he’s attendine a corse for harmony, impovisation, arrangement and Jazzcomposition (Berklee college of Music of Boston), with the teacher Francesco Manzoni.
He has been a member of a new musicalformazion, the “Lindenberg”, sice september 2006 , where he tries to melt diffrent rhythms and kinds of music with the pianist Enrico Del Prato and the bassist Andrea Fogarollo to create an original style.
In March 2006 he created, with other musicans, a dixieland and a swigstyle group, called “Lingéra filtrus band” that took part in a music contest in Spain.He also cooperates with cultural association “Zone di turbolenza” playing the sax while others read poems, molologues and short stories.
