U.S. January Game Sales Up 53%, Wii Outsells PS3 Gamasutra As widely expected, sales of the Wii console in the U.S. during January have exceeded both the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 as a result of continued high demand following the console's launch last year and an improving stock situation. According to analyst reports, console software sales for January were $549 million, up 53% compared to 2006.
