Fax

Radio amateurs transmit not only voice or Morse over the iar, but also pictures. There are many standards for this purpose, and the Fax mode is used mainly to send B&W pictures. A grey scale fax mode is also in use. This mode is also used my meteo services all around the world.
For color pictures the standard is named SSTV, while for real time motion hams use ATV.
