OTHER NOTES
Released in October of 1997, U2 was now heading into the third leg of the worldwide Popmart tour. Please was emerging as one of the stronger songs from the Pop album in this live setting, and the Please single saw the first release of live material from the tour.  In most countries the live material was released as the Popheart EP, released a month before the Please single. In the US, however, the material was released as the Please single.  In the rest of the world the Please single consisted of two remixes of the song "Dirty Day" originally released on 1993's Zooropa album, and an instrumental version of "I'm Not Your Baby" a song recorded with Sinead O'Connor for the End of the Violence soundtrack.

In addition to the live version on this single from Rotterdam in 1997, Please was also recorded in Mexico in 1997 and released as part of the Hasta La Vista Baby fan club only release.

The four men on the cover of the single were Gerry Adams, leader of the Sinn Fein in the top left corner, David Trimble, moderate unionist party in the top right corner, Ian Paisley, moderate unionist party in the bottom right corner, and John Hume, moderate democratic party in the bottom left corner. All four took part in the Northern Ireland Peace Process.
