OTHER NOTES |
Even Better Than the Real Thing got
the full single treatment. A slightly different remix of
the album track was released with several b-sides. The single
version of the song is most noticibly different at the end of
the track, and the drums throughout the song. A second
single was also released made up of remixes of the title track
by Paul Oakenfold and Apollo 440. It was the first single which
saw two very different releases of the single, a trend which
would continue throughout the 90s and into the next decade.
Even Better Than the Real Thing was performed
live throughout the Zoo TV and Popmart tours. During the
Elevation tour it was played rarely. One of the promotional
concerts for the All
That You Can't Leave Behind album was a small club in Paris,
where Even Better was played. That version was released on the
French Stuck
in a Moment single.
The single cover for Even Better than the
Real Thing fits together with the single covers for The
Fly, Mysterious Ways and Who's
Going to Ride Your Wild Horses to make one large image.
