Neogene and Quaternary herpetofaunas of Greece

A project that parallels and supplements the one developed on the Italian Neogene and Quaternary herpetofaunas, concerns the Balkan Peninsula and Greece in particular. Fossil remains stored at the "Department of Historical Geology and Paleontology, National and Capodistrian University of Athens" (in collaboration with Prof. Constantine Doukas) as well as in the collections of Utrecht University (The Netherlands) and Munich University (Germany), are currently studied and described.
