I've just purchased an HP Ipaq HW6915 windows mobile do everything phone with built in GPS. The software it came with isn't what I am seeking - it appears basically a TomTom in car navigation program with a single map.

Does the HP iPaq HW6915 work with a PAYG (Pay As You Go) SIM card from any provider (but primarily Vodafone)? If this does work then brilliant, I will go ahead and buy one, but I don't want to buy it and find that I also have to buy

I used a T-Mobile PAYG simcard in the early days of the hw6915 and it worked fine

Thanks, Steve. I thought it may be possible, but as Vodafone only sell the unit under its contract section I didn't want to take the chance of spending £350-450 on a device that won't work as I hoped for it to.
Thinking of selling my iPaq hw6915
I've had it since it was first releasedbought it in the UK, direct from HP, unlocked. Haven't used it more than 10 or 15 daysso it's basically brand new. I wanted an all in one device and the 6915, although it's a beautiful device
