MiTAC Mio 8390 Rom R43D Europe

 

This is the firmware bundled with my 8390. It have the following advantages compared with all the other:

  1. NO chinese support

  2. t9 in many european languages

  3. It have a some sort of GAPI patch (like Picard's Gapi2Gdi patch, not a real remedy)

"Bugs" compared with other roms:

  1. Arcsoft's MMS client have been replaced by Materna's Anny Way MMS (Yes, it's Anny, not Any). It's SLOW and BADLY TRANSLATED

  2. You CAN'T disable channel broadcasting in order to not receive any more weird network messages

  3. You CAN'T see how many mms you have received on the homescreen

  4. If you receive an mms the external display doesn't notify it
