Boots of Traceless Passing

Description & History: This pair of boots was found in the abandoned castle Herubar Gular. It was made in 1494 Third Age by the great Mage-lord William Deraxecor whom hated Orcs and other creatures of Morgoth. The boots are a deep rich brown leather and have shiny brass buckles. On the bottom of the boots is an inscription in Quenya, Niuva Vantarona, this translates in Westron to (I will walk East). The boots are rather lightweight for their construction and quite comfortable, they weigh but 0.6 kg. The spirit of a Rooster is what enables the boots to be what they are.

After a long hard chase William caught the bird. This crazy bird had been crowing an hour before the sun was to rise everyday like clockwork for five years. He was relieved at first when he caught the bird but soon he had to devise a plan to get rid of the pesky thing. Tough roasted rooster in no way looked appetising. Yet William hated to kill the poor thing for some reason, sure his huge War-hounds would make short work of the annoying cock but that was not quite satisfying enough. This bird had kept him awake for many years on end no matter what he tried to do to stop it. He looked deep into the Rooster's eyes and they seemed special so he decided to keep it. Feeding it was a pain as the now caged bird would only be hand fed and would squawk and scratch until it could see the sunrise outside. William's patience ran thin three weeks latter as an idea came to mind. He would make the bird into an item. That was just the ticket to overcome certain limitations in his craft that he had yet to figure out. Now to remove the Rooster's mind and place it into an item would be a mean trick to pull off. So far all of his other attempts had backfired but this one would be different. The Rooster would basically be in control of the item but it could be coaxed into operating certain powers that normally occupied a fair bit of concentration for the user. William thought, planned and fed the the Rooster until one day he had the necessary formula and matrix figured out. The next day he slaughtered the bird and captured it's soul. Latter he placed the soul within these very boots. Now the rooster didn't mind as William had made sure the bird would be comfortable in these boots without feeling disjointed. Still the Rooster has some memories of the past and longs to see the sun rise again. Perhaps the bird had always seen the sun rise differently, perhaps in such away that others could not understand?

If the boots are worn too long the Rooster becomes quite exhausted and perturbed. He can also become quite agitated in the wee hours before sunrise so it is advisable not to wear the boots then. This fun loving bird will take you for a ride if you trod upon him for to long.

Powers: These boots resist destruction as 30th level.

When these boots are worn no details of the passing are left such as,
grass blades being bent or busted twigs being left. Tracking by magic is
still possible if it tells the tale of the path. 30th level effect.

These boots also has a minor enchantment against the effects of wear. 1st
level effect.

These boots will also shrink or grow to fit any size of foot. 10th level
effect.

Unfortunately these boots will rush off at a fastwalk/jog pace for one
hour in a Easterly direction if they are walked on for 8 hours nonstop.
This is a curse like effect. The wearer will not be able to remove the
boots at this time physically but he may still try to magically remove
them. A Remove Curse will work or a powerful 50th level or more spell of
Cancel Essence or other similar spell will have the same effect. For a
brief period of time the bearer will be able to remove their feet from
these boots. The boots resist these spells as 60th level. This was an
unintentional power of the boots, perhaps the rooster is what causes this
to occur.

The boots may be communicated with if one can speak to roosters or other
birds and animals. This bird usually likes to sleep all day but doesn't
mind to walk for to long. Actually it usually likes to walk but as soon as
a few hours pass it starts to get bored and resentful if the scenery is
boring. If a fight is being partaken by the wearer of these boots and the
Rooster thinks he could be injured then the Rooster may decide to high
tail it out of there at a Dash pace x2 (use the current wearers maximum
pace x2). If the wearers Ag and Qu stats are less than 101 each then the
wearer must make a Sheer Folly maneuver to avoid falling down and injuring
themselves. For each -10 the maneuvers fails by the bearer takes a
increasingly higher Unbalancing Crits starting a A for a failer by 1-9, a
B for 10-19... Other appropriate crits may be delivered by the terrain.
Sharp rocks ... Slash, tree limbs ... Krush. In any case this effect uses
10 exhaustion points per round until unconscious in which the wearer is
dragged upon the ground until the danger has passed. Other appropriate
damage is delivered by the terrain. This effect is like the above
paragraph in terms of removing the boots. Perhaps if you could speak the
the poor bird it will calm down before it inadvertantly kills you.

The Rooster's stats are as follows:

Will Stats Stat	Total Bonus
Reasoning 99	+1
Self Discipline 92	+10
Presence 73	-15
Intuition 98	+3
Empathy 57	-12

The Racial Mods of this special Rooster total +100.
He has a Will Stat of 61. 8th level effect.

Chainmail of Rilyakulu

Description & History: This set of chainmail was found in the abandoned castle Herubar Gular. It was made in 1496 Third Age by the great Mage-lord William Deraxecor whom hated Orcs and other creatures of Morgoth. This chainmail is made from Gold, Beryllium, Platinum, Mithril, Silver and Tasarang. This material when submerged with a significant amount of water it contracts, it is also extremely lustrous in nature. This material was founded by William Deraxecor and named Rilyakulu by Ragnar Stonefist, it is Westron for "Brilliant Gold". This material is naturally +20 in nature and acid resistant.

Powers: This chainmail is a +15 AT 16 Chain Hauberk. 20% of the time in battle it will squeeze the wearer giving him a C Krush Critical because of the sweat created in battle. If a Smith was to rework this chainmail it would be +20 or better, if the Smith was exceptionably skilled perhaps even +25 or +30. It is only +15 right now due to the fact that William Deraxecor was a Mage not a Smith or an Alchemist.

Elven Arrows of Returning

Description & History: These arrows are of fine Elven make. They were given to any who helped save Aradhrynd. All of the arrows were collectively made by The Brotherhood of the Bow, the oldest arrow being made in 2958 Third Age, the newest in 3019. Catrina Meglivorn has since improved upon the already superb craftsmanship of these arrows. A little later on she had them enchanted to return to the quiver a little after striking the target. They were enchanted in 6052 Third Era by Coran, a Smith of the Eidolon Alchemy Guild. The arrows are made of Yew with falcon feathers for fletchings. When observed closely one can see an emerald sparkle on the head, causing it to slay it's target when it hits. The emeralds are from the Jewel Well known as the Emerald Pool. Each arrows weigh 54 grams. The hip quiver is made from soft waterproof cow leather with a leather drawstring to close of the top. This keeps the arrows dry when it is wet out or if Catrina happens to be going swimming and she doesn't want the arrows to float away.

Forest Friend

Description & History: This two-handed sword's history is one of sadness. Early in the First Age the Ent named Blackbark befriended the Dark Elf Eol one of the Moriquendi, who dwelt in Nan Elmoth at that time. At that time he Ent was helping Eol work a meteorite, and to help embed intelligences in items. Later an accident happened, and it appeared to Eol that the Ent had somehow died. This result was the final act that committed Eol down the path of darkness. in a sword by Eol who was a close friend. The Ent used to be dark hearted by nature. When it was imprisoned it basically forgot it's past and had a few innate Ent like abilities. Over time it learned and under the guidance of Fiuhrel Hawkskeeper a Ranger of the North who is currently on Kulthea. Now it has become basically "good" natured. They are now just starting to understand that the sword may not have been a sword, that perhaps it was something else before. This occurred when Fiuhrel and the sword basically met Blackbark the Ent in the future on Kulthea in the Hrange forest upon Govon. Fiuhrel and the sword in the future must release the Ent Blackbark that is contained inside. This is to be done back in the past on Middle Earth when his and his companions quest is finished. The sword has since said it was once wielded by Aragorn I. This was until he lost his life fighting wolves. This sword was his backup weapon and interestingly enough it has always been a backup item. He carried it from 2302 to 2327 Third Age. His horse in fright had carried his gear over the Misty Mountains in terror and had been pursued off and on for days by wolves until it reached Mirkwood Forest upon which it met it's fate and was eaten by Trolls. There it laid until Fiuhrel claimed it. Aragorn I had liberated from a band of Trolls who had carried it after the fall of Gondolin far to the west. There they passed it from generation to generation as trolls pass all things ... by taking it with force. Before this time Glorfindel I wielded it until his death when he fought the Balrog during the Fall of Gondolin. That very fact shows it's immense age. Before that time it is hard to see where Eol discarded it. The sword has made known it's dislike of fighting. But it will fight if necessary. The sword has a 123 centimetre double edged Mithril blade and a black Onyx hilt, it is separated by a Arinyark crossguard and pommel. On the end of the pommel is a piece of Amber which contains inside a small violet orchid named Sailchas.

Powers: The sword's powers are as follows. 50th level item.

+1 to initiative and a weapon strength of 188. It's exhaustion rate is 1
per 2 rounds.

In the hands of a Ranger this sword is +20 OB magical and +20 OB material.
25th level effect. It gains an additional +5 bonus vs any creature
wearing leather armor.

For those who know the history of Sailchas they receive the following
bonuses: +10 to Morale, +10 to all RR's and +5 to DB. 0 level effect.

The possessor of the sword has use of Animal Mastery, Tree Mastery, Stone
Mastery, Druid's Peace, Beast's Ways, Insect Mastery, Nature Summons,
Weather Mastery, Enrichment, Survival Ways (to 30th later 50th level).
Each of these Spell Lists has 100 PP available to it. This totals to 1000
PP. When set point first into the ground, it halts the movement of all
hostile animate plants within 1000 meters, later 10000 meters and all
hostile animals within 100 meters, later 1000 meters (some powerful plants
and animals may get a RR). The sword is extremely intelligent (Artifact
Level Intelligence, later Legendary Artifact Intelligence) and may or may
not speak to it's wielder. 30th level effect, later 50th.

Any Sylvan creature will have a +20 reaction modifier to the wielder of
this blade. 0 level effect.

Of Slaying anyone who causes wanton destruction of the Olvar and Kelvar.
50th level effect.

Kregora Box

Description & History: This box is 10.2 cm wide 10.2 cm deep and 7.6 cm high and made of pure Kregora, it weighs 1.218 kilograms and looks a dull flaky yellow. This is because Kregora oxidises when exposed to air. No past history is know about it due to it's extreme magic dampening powers. It was found in the baggage of one of Skauril's armies and later given to Chakka because of it's effect on mages. Over the years Chakka has been shaving Kregora off it to create mage slaying arrows. The effect is not a true slaying ability but it cuts through their defensive spells like a hot knife through butter. The look of surprise on their face when the arrow ignores their Aim Untrue spell is priceless but short lived.

Powers: This box is treated as 1st level for mundane attacks with an additional -20 to it's RR. Now magical attacks are an entirely different story it is treated as 50th level with a +2140 bonus to it's RR.

It is made of pure Kregora and it effectively stops all spell casting all realms with in a certain radius. the radius is as follows. (All attacks are first level). Touch drains 150 PP per round and stops all spell casting regardless of RR. RR modification is a (- 2140 i.e. it fails big time, mondo huge). 1' to 5' it drains a 15 PP per round and stops all spell casting if RR fails. RR modification is a (- 214 i.e. it fails Yep). 6' to 10' it drains a 8 PP per round and stops all spell casting if RR fails. RR modification is a (- 102 i.e. it fails thats for sure). 11' to 20' it drains a 1 PP per round and stops all spell casting if RR fails. RR modification is a (- 10 maybe). 21' to 50' it drains a 1 PP per hour and stops all spell casting if RR fails. RR modification is a (- 1 big deal). After that range no appreciable effect. The drawback is goodbye Navigator's if you wish to travel or any other means of magical transportation. Furthermore it will temporarily drain items in it's vicinity. (See GM for details).

Perian Dagorcu

Description & History: This Battlebow was made by Hildifons Took, the sixth son of Gerontius Took and uncle to Bilbo Baggins and great uncle to Frodo Baggins. It was made in 2892 Third Age, sixteen years after he left the shire. Hildifons was taught the skill of being a Boyer by Saruman in 2889 Third Age. In time Hildifons became a great Alchemist, by Hobbit standards and created a number of Hobbit sized items of exceptional power. In 2939 Saruman had found out the location of where Isildur was killed and subsequently lost the One Ring. In 2953 Third Age Hildifons turned 109 years old, that year was the last year the White Council reconvened. In that last meeting of the White Council, Saruman learns about a Hobbit named Bilbo, who had a ring that made him invisible in The Battle of Five Armies. During the meeting Saruman lies about the location of where the One Ring was lost, believing that if he can find this Hobbit before anyone else he can claim it as his own and rule Endor by himself. By this time Saruman is mostly Evil. With this new knowledge Saruman questions Hildifons about the One Ring, when he didn't know Saruman grew angry and threw him in a cell to question him some more later. This was an error on Saruman's part, he forgot that Hildifons was now a person of some skill, being taught much of his skills by Saruman. When Saruman had found out that his former apprentice had escaped, he grew enraged and sent a patrol of Orcs and Wargs after the Hobbit. In time they caught up to him just south of Mirkwood, there a battle ensued where a lone Elf Prince named Legolas lent a hand too what appeared to him, a small child fighting off a score of Orcs and Wargs and doing quite well before falling to overwhelming numbers. There Legolas killed the few reaming enemies with his Bow and ran over to the child who said he was a Hobbit, (Legolas had heard of Hobbits but had never before seen any) and the Hobbit said "I'm Hildifons Took son of Gerontius" the only other thing he said before he died was "There is a traitor in the White Cou.......". In time Legolas took the Hobbit's body and remaining possessions back home to be buried since he died a hero's death. Hildifons items were stored in the armoury, since all of the items were to small for an Elf or a Man and no Dwarf was interested in them. They hoped that some day his family would come looking for him or they could be put to use for a worthy Hobbit or Dwarf. In 3019 Third Age a Hobbit came along named Bando Willowfoot who had helped save Aradhrynd in a battle against a Lieutenant of Khamul the Easterling, Skauril. This powerful Artifact was given to him for those reasons. This bow is 147 centimetres high and designed much like some of the bows in Far Harad and in a latter Age the bows of place called "Japan". The bow is made from Laminated strips of Dirwood made of a special curing process derived by Saruman and taught to Hildifons Took and later perfected by him. It has a Gold Eog bowstring and a Mother-of-Pearl grip and arrow rest. It has very, very fine Ithildin inlay throughout.

Powers: This bow requires a Hobbit with at least a strength stat of 98 or more to string. This bow has a +40 OB, the range of a long bow, half the long bow range modifiers, except a point blank range bonus of +25, shooting penalties of a short bow and X2 Composite bow damage. There has yet to be a single enchantment cast on this bow.

Ithildin Barding

Description & History: This barding was made for Aragorn I in 2322 Third Age by Nardhol, one of Elrond's chief Alchemists. The barding was one of Aragorn I possessions until 2327 Third Age. At that time he was leading a patrol during the month of Ninui and was waylaid by approximately 120 hungry wolves. In that battle he and much of his patrol was killed but a few survived to carry his items back to base camp to be given to his son Araglas, but his horse and some gear that was strapped to it was lost during the battle. The horse "Faithful" carried the items well over the Misty Mountains and beyond into Mirkwood. At that time the great warhorse's luck had run out and was beset by an Olog, the troll then carried his spoils back to his den as all trolls are wont to do. In 3019 Third Age, the troll and a few of his buddies were beset by something a little more then they could handle, they had run into what later came to be known as the Company of Middle Earth. In a relatively short melee all of the trolls were vanquished. The trolls items were then liberated by members of the Company of Middle Earth and distributed amongst themselves. Calimar a Paladin of Varda laid claim to this item. This barding is made entirely of High Steel and has intricate engravings filled with Ithildin. Upon inspection it will appear to be made totally of High Steel until the moon is out and the Ithildin shines through. It was mainly ceremonial barding designed to impress the hosts who would welcome Aragorn and the other rangers. It was normally not used in the field.

Powers: +15 DB, +10 from being made of High Steel and +5 for very good craftsmanship. -50 to Stalking and Hiding at night when the moon is visible, due to the glowing of the Ithildin inlay. Otherwise it is very silent as Barding goes, only -15 to Stalking and Hiding during other times. It also has a minor enchantment against rust and wear.

Neckerchief of Invisibility

Description & History: This neckerchief was found in the abandoned castle Herubar Gular. It was made in 1504 Third Age by the great Mage-lord William Deraxecor and Miffli the Undying a Nogoth Nibin and Alchemist. The neckerchief was made mostly by William for the embedding processes as he was learning how to become an Alchemist but Miffli did help out a bit. The neckerchief is very old and has seen quite a bit of use before the demise of it's master. It is made of white cotton and it is 30 centimetres long by 27 centimetres wide.

Powers: The neckerchief is a 7th level item.

This neckerchief turns the wearer and all he is wearing invisible 1 time in a 24 hour period as per the spell. It is a Daily I item. To activate one just needs to sneeze into it. 7th level effect.

Ring of Friend Finding

Description & History: This ring was found in the abandoned castle Herubar Gular. It was made in the fall of 164 Third Age by Miffli the Undying a Noegyth Nibin and Alchemist. The ring came to be made because of Miffli's help to the Hillman Mong-Finn, he needed allies that could look past his appearance and unearthly ties. In the early part of spring in 164 Third Age, Miffli and the Ta-Fa-Nilch helped Mong-Finn in a Dunnish rebellion against the Dunedain. They wished to hold Cameth Brin as a base for latter attacks against the forces of Arnor. In time they would hopefully drive the Dunedain from Rhudaur if they could find enough allies that wished to throw off the Edain yoke. Eldacar, the Crown Prince of Arnor, soon crushed the Hillmen and took Cameth Brin, Miffli's home to be a Royal Fortress. Miffli along with Mong-Finn and his band where eradicated but Miffli survived somehow after repeatedly being stabbed and clubbed. His home Armoq-al-Wanu was lost to him for awhile. Homeless and severed from the ghosts of his clan, Miffli survived the conflict to wander across Endor once more. Miffli used this ring to help him out in his travels. It served him well as he wandered through out Eriador for about 1450 years until the ring glowed outside of the keep named Herubar Gular. There within he met William Deraxecor whom was a mage also. Miffli stayed there for a number of years and became friends with William and taught him many things and in return learned much about compassion and other forms of magic. The time came to part ways when William was getting a little older so he left this ring as a gift of friendship and walked on in an attempt to find some more people of his race and try to teach them what he had learned. His final whereabouts are unknown. It is a roughly forged ring of iron with an exquisitely carved 121 carat piece of Alexandrite.

Powers: The Ring resists destruction as a 30th level item.

This iron ring glows brightly when ever a potential ally is within 15.25 meters. 30th level effect.

This ring also has a minor enchantment against rust. 1st level effect.

The Ring of Elven Sight

Description & History: This ring was taken from a Rogue named Casteagaer in the little village of Buhr Ailgra. The reason it was taken from him was the fact that he attempted to rob Raven, Calimar and Nile of all their material wealth. Unfortunately for him and his three thugs, Raven did a miraculous shoot with her hand crossbow (some say lucky shoot) and caught him in the neck with a dart which was coated with Hevik (a 30th level sleeping attack poison which wears of in a few hours). This was fallowed up with Nile and Calimar fishing off the remaining thugs. This ring was made by the Alchemist Woedwyn in 3018 Third Age on contract for Casteagaer. The Rings of Hope

Description & History: Each ring is a plain band of Mithril set with the possessors favourite gemstone or metal there are 15 such rings, each of them have been blessed by their respective Valar and each has received Eru's blessing. Each ring was placed on the bearers prior to their arrival on Kulthea in attempt to avert the Third Crisis of Existence. These rings are not of this universe and are actually from the realm where Eru dwells where he watches all of existence as best as he can. If these rings were to ever to fall into the hands of Evil forces then woe to that universe if used correctly. If these rings were ever to fall into Sauron's hands and more importantly Morgoth's, then all of existences would be in danger; i.e. all planes, realms, dimensions etc. as it would give him many truth's about The laws of Existence and how to manipulate it and then use it for his own end. Woe to all creatures if this happens.

Powers: As with all true Artifacts, this one has the powers to do many things; first of all it will teleport them to a place of importance if need be and bring other ring bearers to them. It will also act as a walkie-talkie if both parties wish to communicate. The rings have other uses but that depends on the need and the nature of the wearer. These rings are virtually immune to any form of non magical attack and they resist magical attacks as 500th level.

The Staff of Eclotitor

Description & History: This staff was made in 1297 T.E. by the great Mentalist/Archmage Frederic Eclotitor. At this time he was in the service of Aldaron a Laan who had just about conquered all of Emer. By the time of 1311 T.E. the continent of Emer was united by Aldaron and he decreed the creation of The Eight Orders. Frederic Eclotitor was given the task of forming the Ahn sye Talaus (Order of the Ring). At this time Frederic Eclotitor made a new item named The Sceptre of the Ring. He then had no real use for the staff so he gave it to his grandson Pedric Eclotitor. He met an untimely end facing a Priest of Klysus in 1627 T.E. The priest named Jexendic Coelar eventually died of old age in 1792 T.E., and the staff was stored at the Temple's high chapel until 6048 T.E.. A new Priest of Klysus named Recci Hellgraff was given the staff. He retained the staff until a brief battle against a Paladin of Phaon named Calimar and a Cloudlord of Tanara named Gauron Orgillion, who is the current owner. That battle almost spelled the demise of both Gauron and Calimar. Calimar had been vanquished by a demon of the Sixth Pale and Gauron was struggling with a demon of the Fifth Pale. At that moment Recci Hellgraff stepped from the shadows and launched a triad of Darkfire upon Gauron, the first bolt eviscerated his face and the second two slammed into his chest. He struggled to reach he vail of Evermaed while Calimar fought for possession of his soul. Gauron fumbled for it as the demon fired four more crossbow bolts into his chest, death approached and none to quietly. Calimar won free his soul from the dark priest and was on his way to Eissa. He then remembered the gift Zaris gave him for the recovery of the Gryphon Sword and the return of her pendant that she had lent him to retrieve the sword if he could. This gift allowed one's self to stay the gates of Eissa and return to perfect health. Calimar dispatched the startled demon that had begun to feast and cut of the priest connection with Klysus. By then the other demon had turned and let loose his volley of death upon Calimar but in his haste he failed to get a good bead andwas soon dispatched. Calimar then ignored the enraged priest who was trying desperately to kill him with his sword. He rushed over to his fallen friend. Gauron's eyes fluttered open as the first drops of Evermaed touched his lips. A moment latter Calimar had disarmed the Necromancer and was pronouncing his doom, "Convert or die!"After some thought Recci Hellgraff replied, "I will convert if you spare my life." "Wrong answer, Die!" for Calimar would not abide with those who didn't take their vows, to their god, to the grave. Gauron claimed the staff while Calimar claimed the priest's sword. The staff is made of a straight piece of Chestnut and topped by a sculpted Dragons head, with the two eyes being set with red ruby cabochons, which glow when the staff's power is drawn upon.

Chainmail of the Mage-Lord

Description & History: This chainmail was found in the abandoned castle Herubar Gular. It was made in 1502 Third Age by the great Mage-lord William Deraxecor and Miffli the Undying a Noegyth Nibin and Alchemist. William was working on his breeding program when his aged father, Feafuin informed him that there was a gruff and ancient looking dwarf at the door to see him. The Dwarf's name turned out to be Miffli and he claimed to be thousands of years old. Although by appearance the dwarf looked to be the oldest living thing in existence, what truly lead to his credibility was the vast aura of subtle power that lay around the Dwarf and the nature of the items he carried. What caught William's attention while he was standing at the door was the ancient bronze ring mail that Miffli wore while casting spells of light and wonder before William. This armor interested the rising Archmage for he wanted to learn about how this was done. His father had already taught him everything he knew about Alchemy and William was looking for more knowledge. Miffli then asked "Do you want to learn more or shall I go?". William ushered him in and they struck a deal. In return for some gold, food and information Miffli taught William how to make the armor and much more but he would never reveal the skill of how he made his most precious treasure, a blue ring of unsurpassing power. Eventually William made this chain shirt and wore it where ever he went. The chainmail shirt is made of High Steel and it looks brand new. It weighs but 2.2 kilograms. Dalicor

Description & History: This pair of boots and it's twin Dalrim, was made by the third son of Feanor. Thats son's name was Celegorm, Aka: The Fair, The Huntsman of the Noldor. Celegorm was a Noldorin prince and very fair to behold. He was accounted among the close followers of the Vala Orome and he became the most wood-crafty of all the Noldorin Elves. Additionally Celegorm was the master at that time of the great hound Huan. These boots were made in training with Orome and were latter given up in turn for a much better pair of boots he made for himself. Dalicor and Dalrim were given to his friends Huinen, a Seer and Ringlin a Mystic. This pair was given to Huinen. These two Noldor survived the First Age, Second Age and they are still atoning for there Oath they had taken with Feanor against the Valar. These boots were lost when Huinen and Ringlin infiltrated Dol Guldur and sent word to Gandalf the Grey that King Thrain II, The King of Durin's Folk was captured by the Necromancer and that they had a hunch that the Necromancer was Sauron. The year was 2848 of the Third Age. In 2850 Third Age, Gandalf slips into Dol Guldur. There he witnesses King Thrain II's death bed request. Thrain's dying wish was for Thorin Oakenshield or his sister Dis which were his last surviving children to recover their Kingdom in Erebor. Amazingly even after the last of the Seven Dwarven Rings was taken from him by the Necromancer, Thrain II managed to keep secret from Sauron, the Key to Erebor and a Map of the Lonely Mountain, which was given to him by his father Thror and then given to Gandalf in trust. Later that night Gandalf, Huinen and Ringlin come to the conclusion that the Necromancer is really Sauron. During their meeting they are discovered, Huinen and Ringlin decide to try and lure their pursuers to the north so Gandalf can escape. They were eventually captured by a score of Olog-hai and a Alchemist named Celedhring some 650 kilometres to the north. Apparently the ruse with the tracks didn't work. The pair were on the return trip to Dol Guldur to be questioned and then tortured and if they were very lucky, killed, but that was not the case, they escaped along the way and recovered all of their stolen items, except the boots. The boots were taken from the strong box a few minutes before by one of the Ologs to look at. She tried them on and amazingly or so it seemed to her they fit. Well when the alarm was raised in the ensuing chaos the hunters fallowed the animal tracks to the offending Olog. This was all the time apparently needed for the two to escape. Their tale with the boots ended but the poor War-troll who put the boots on was killed on the spot by Celedhring (Her body flew along way before it landed, a smoking ruin). The Elf Lord then threw both pair of boots at an Olog and told it to get them out of his sight and to never return with them. Well the Olog being a bit slow for his kind went off with both pairs to one of his favourite haunts and never returned. There they were used to waylay the odd Elf now or then who was out hunting but usually the Elves were to smart for that group of Trolls to capture ( They only ever got one Elf). Unfortunately for the odd merchant or traveller who was out foraging for food, the Trolls were more successful. This went on until the trolls were taken unaware by a stalwart group of adventurers, (Over half of them was under 152.5 centimetres tall) some call them short of madmen, others just call them crazy. They then divided the loot and Dalicor went to Nile Shadowspawn a Thief at that time and Dalrim went to Fiuhrel Hawkskeeper a Ranger at that time. Thats is wear the boots are to this day, on the feet of Madmen and Lords. The boots are made from very soft dark brown deer leather. They have been sewn together with sinew. They are fairly light weight, weighing but 350 grams.

Powers: Both of the boots have the identical powers except the last one. 60th level item.

The boots are immune to wear and staining, they are indestructible by normal means, They resist magic attacks as 60th level. The wearers feet are always dry and comfortable and the wearer can walk on fire or hot rocks without his feet being hurt, although the rest of him may still catch fire. The last power, Dalicor, Sindarin for Feet of Circles. The wearer can either create footprints facing whatever direction desired (e.g., it appears that the wearer has walked in the direction opposite to that actually taken) or create no footprint whatsoever, ever in soft soil, sand, chalk etc. 60th level effect.
