Diretto discendente del nuovo filone teen-fantasy e confezionato ad arte (musiche di James Newton Howard, fotografia di Donald "Moulin Rouge" McAlpine), Peter Pan è tra le cose migliori viste lo scorso anno nel cinema per famiglie. Merito di P.J. Hogan, che è riuscito a unire fiaba, gotico e avventura molto meglio di quanto fatto da Cuaron per il terzo Harry Potter, ma anche di uno script dosato alla perfezione in cui rivive, con molto più senso del "vero" rispetto al Peter Pan di Spielberg, lo smarrimento esistenziale di bambini e adulti. Solo i giovani interpreti lasciano a desiderare, ma alla fine non ci si fa nemmeno troppo caso.
