About me My name is Alba Delfino and I am 36.... First of all, let me apologize for my poor English , please be patient with me. I started cross-stitching when I was 25 thanks to a magazine called "Rakam" : the December number attracted me with its free pattern of an enchanting decoration for doors. Undoubtedly, it was love at first sight. I've never hung up the decoration: it became a wonderful picture that I put next to the fire-place during Advent. However, I must admit that I was already interested in embroidery . In these years, I realised many pictures; some of them are "called" with the names of my exams at university . In my opinion, there is nothing more relaxing than cross-stitching. I'd like to encourage who, at whetever age, starts cross-stitching without a guide: I've learned by myself , just with some books and magazines. I 'm quite sure that it isn't vital to follow courses : only a neddle and a bit of common sense are necessary. My best results are pictures ; I like new challanges, so I avoid to repeat the same pattern again and again. What's more, I prefer difficult ones , with a lot of colors and in linen. Besides cross-stitching, I 'm fond of science-fiction : I've watched the "Star Wars" trilogy almost 100 times and the "Star Trek" series are a cult for me. My favourite book is " The Lord Of The Rings" by R. R. Tolkien. You should have understood that I'm often in the clouds.... Years ago, I started studying information technology and now I daresay that my computer is like my pen: an irreplaceable friend. This is the reason why I decided to use softwares for my hobby. The aim of this website is to share my patterns with you, but I also hope that it could be useful for everyone who is in trouble with cross-stitching. I'd like to create a double - way partnership with you. I will be grateful for your feedback : it is the only way to improve. Just a thought: my best friend says the she would like to reborn as my cat . I'm a passionate fan of the feline phylosophy ! I wish you a lot of free time to spend cross-stitching!
