NOTE AL CAPITOLO "ANIMALI" 

L'artista ha raffigurato una gran quantità d'animali: cani, gatti, cavalli, pavoni, colombe pavoncelle, aquile, pesci gatto, galli, passerotti, draghi, tori, ecc. Purtroppo non siamo riusciti a raccogliere tutta la produzione del "bestiario".

L'animale che prevale sugli altri per indagine artistica e sviluppo cromatico è il cavallo. Il cavallo per lo Spada è il simbolo della libertà fisica e spirituale, il simbolo della potenza e dell'energia.

 I cavalli sono stati raffigurati in tutte le variazioni di forme ed eccitazioni che possano avere animali così intelligenti, oltre che in vari ambienti come le corse all'ippodromo,le praterie, le spiagge, ecc.

 L'artista li ha idealizzati al punto da apparire quasi dotati d'umanità. In effetti, questi animali sono stati raffigurati con occhi più grandi che nella realtà e con espressioni attribuibili ad un uomo.

 Notevoli per il dinamismo dei colori, le lotte fra pavoni in amore, tra questi anche i non comuni pavoni bianchi.

 

  

NOTES to the CHAPTER "ANIMALS"

 The artist has represented a big quantity of animals: dogs, cats, horses, peacocks, doves lapwings, eagles, peaches cat, roosters, sparrows, dragons, bulls, etc. Unfortunately we have not been able to pick up all the production of the "bestiario" (the complex of the beasts).

The animal which prevails on the others for artistic investigation and chromatic development is the horse. The horse for Spada is the symbol of physics and spiritual liberty, the symbol of power and energy.

The horses have been represented in all the variations of forms and excitements that could have animals so intelligent, besides in different places like: the runs at the hippodrome, at the grasslands, at the seashores.

The artist has idealized them to the point to appear almost equipped with humanity. In effects, these animals have been represented with bigqer eyes that in the reality and with the look of a man. Notable for the dynamism of the colors, the fights among peacocks in love, between these also the not common white peacocks.
