My main one is my IBM T41 workhorse laptop. It is the one I haul everywhere and do everything with, to, for , and on. it can't be down or I cry a lot . So making major changes to it is not something I do lightly.
Moving to Ubuntu 6.10 from Fedora Core 5 on the IBM T41
Till last night, both systems ran Fedora Core 5. Today the laptop is Ubuntu 6.10. When I get a chance, I'll take the desktop to Fedora Core 6, so that I can maintain access to a Fedora system

The T41 seems to boot faster too, and everything feels crisper in response time than before. I am thinking about installing the OpenSUSE 10.2 disk from the NX5000 to see if they feels any different not to mention to see if gmail

As noted in my last post, I had the very odd problem that Google mail would not work after the upgrade. I was really confused what about the upgrade could have caused this, but by the end of the day I was starting to have my suspicions.
