As for your card: 1) btaudio is not provided in mandriva kernel 2) bt878 PCI Nicam card from Hauppauge based on bt878. It's working fine with bttv.

I found the solution for my sound cards in this thread on the Gentoo forum. For this to work correctly at least these versions of the below packages are required: >=baselayout-1.12.9 >=module-init-tools-3.2.2-r2 >=udev-104-r9
Old Ati Tv Wonder not Supported?
BT878 chipset (as per Everest). When I go into media center, and run the wizard for TV, it sees it. Now, when I go into the configuration for media portal, and try and choose a capture card, it doesn't find it.
