Current research interests: Molecular epidemiology of malaria: molecular diagnosis of the four human malaria plasmodia, genotyping of Plasmodium falciparum and P. vivax field isolates, identification and characterization of genes associated with parasites-human host interactions and drug-resistance in Plasmodium falciparum and P. vivax.
