Vulcanair AP60TP600 A-Viator

This is my first attempt to model an aircraft; the 3D model has been made by myself, while the FDM is an adaptation from the FDM of the DeHavilland DHC6.

First release: 2012 may 10

It is a very preliminary release ... but it flies !!!

2nd release: may the 21st 2012:

The control surfaces (but for trims) aren now workings; the wheels spins on ground, doors open and close, the livery is a little bìt better; the autopilot is operable from within the cockpit ... still some bugs, but it's fine to fly with :)

3rd release; May 31st 2012:

Well ... the model has progressed; added the Overhead Panel, from which to start the aircraft; I got the help of Oliver Thurau, who has made the FDM to depict the real A-Viator, rather then use the plain DHC6 FDM !!! And the aircraft flies nice :)

DHC2 Beaver

This is my first attempt to add instruments to the cockpit: I was able to do it thanks to F-SIG, a vary kind mate simmer, who sent me the first modification I was after: to set the head bug direclty from the cockpit ... the with a little bit of copying & pasting, and again some help from F-SIG, I added:

- Heading Set Point knob

- Altitude Set Poin knob

- Vertical Speed Set Poit knob

- VSI and ALT Set Point Value indicator

- AP ON/OFF switch

- WL/HDG switch (Wing Level / Heading Bug)

- VS/ALT switch (Vertical Speed/Altitude autopilot mode)

The default AP mode (when turned on) is WL and VS.

Issues:

Northrup Grumman C-2A

The model f the C-2A, developed by Emmanuel Baranger, was one of the few aircraft I was able to manage on my previos laptop, running at the incredible pacee of 2-3 frames per seconds: the C-2A was still able to operate the autopilot !!!

This the reason for which I decided to add few instruments, and naturally to implement the possibility of managing the autopilot from within the cockpit

DHC 6 - Twin Otter

Also for the DHC 6 Twin Otter I have added the possibility to manage the AP from within the cockpit, as wel as the possibility to adjust the speed, vertical speed and altitude set points.

I worked on the model downloaded from : http://www.flightgearcanada.ca/

The download aside contains the whole aircraft ... I adjusted a little bit also the overhead panel, which i don't know why is missing in the "canadian download" :)
