you only need the vfapi reader codec if you want to create fake avi's via vfapi for frameserving. for that i'd suggest using avisynth instead. so basically you don't need it

i now have to manually load the subs to get them to workalso have to set up ffdshow to make them work this is strange.i looked at gspot to see if i had the proper coedcs etc.i found one missing.vfapi.dll.i remeber tmpg

mpc gives you access to the filters in use. simple check to see what renderer is being used. you can also import the graph into graphedit if you want a visual representation

how do i go about doing that? i reinstalled every codec w/ xpcodec and also ffdshow .i finally got the subs to work but i had to enable them in ffdshow but the problem is now that these subs play in all the avis i have nowim
