i am trying to install my canon n656u scanner on my computer. i'd been using it connected to my tower's front usb port, but since i need to use that port for things like my flash drives, etc, i disconnected the scanner--which was

last night i set up my nikon super coolscan 4000 ed film scanner with my mac mini. as the mac already had adobe 7 under windows xp) but this was not the case (it had worked previously for my canon canoscan n656u flatbed scanner).
