To share my knowledge with other people and especially to help those who are venturing in the study of languages and linguistics and consequently need a sort of orientation. Absolutely not. The Internet is a technological support that some of us, (the luckiest ones) can exploit directly at home, school or university. But, the Internet will not replace, at least, for now, the old libraries. Even if, the number of electronic journals and e-books is gradually increasing, the possibility to store the whole human knowledge on the World Wide Web seems to be a remote dream. Time is not still ripe for Theodor Holm Nelson's project XANADU. And so let us continue to turn the pages of our books...The age of a virtual universal library has not arrived yet.
