I am about to buy my first serger, after 50 years of sewing without one. Most of my sewing is dog items: coats, belly bands, collars, bedding, Family sewing is polar fleece, and skirts for my 11 year old granddaughter.

I have a Husqvarna Viking 936 Serger. It is 3 years old, I have not used it much, I did keep it oiled. Although the past month I have put about 30 hours, sewing red polar fleece. It looked a mess, red fuzz everywhere.

Well, all of the sewing is done on the dress, I have a few ribbons to sew to it My darn serger is on the blink and I will need to get that fixed before I a couple of polar fleece buntings to hopefully send to China with someone
