Monica Giovinazzi -  

 

Monica Giovinazzi is an author, and a performer. She works on vocal experimentation using theatrical events to investigate reality and translating every topic into short rhythmical texts, sonorous multilingual textures, space transformations and installations. She bases her design process on subtraction applied to movement and sound emission.

She has been involved in a range of different projects such as Un corpo geometrico – that relates women’s body to advertising; Karusell – that connects children to a carousel of adult wishes; Medea’s sauce – the bordeliner figure of a 50 years woman; Rischio di fogna urbana – rats compelled to cohabit in a multiethnic metropolis; Vacuum – inspired by Heiner Mueller; Coscine di pollo – women at work; Esther – written in collaboration with Paolo Puppa.

She teaches theatre, vocal and performative tecniques, lecturing at different schools and universities; she is also the Art Director at Raabe Teatro, 22, Via A. Bertani, Rome.
