One thing is for sure: Either the 2009 Yamaha R1 with its all new and outside of MotoGP never seen before cross plan crankshaft (makes the MotoGP sound) or Aprilia with their RSV4 will kick Ducati's asses ... those Sissis with 1200ccm. Nov 13, 2008 - Hmmmm let me think - next year there are no less than 7 manufacturers in wsbk, racing has been miles better than motogp this year and will no doubt be just as good if not better, you can watch all races (supersport, superstock etc) for free on wsbk website, i could go on. dont get me wrong, i love motogp, but its getting more and more like f1. and you know there's something wrong when f1 was actually more exciting than motogp this year

Nov 13, 2008 - I thought your comment was referring to the bikes themselves and the performance of production superbikes overcoming MotoGP. I don't think MotoGP has anything to worry about in this respect. I agree with you on the point of manufacturer participation although my guess is cost is more of a factor than the class restrictions. The quality of the racing was great in WSBK this year although I think there will be much better racing in MotoGP next year as a result of the single tire manufacturer.

Nov 13, 2008 - i didnt actually make the original comment. i agree with you that motogp should be more exciting next year because of the one make tyre rule, but i think the racing will still be much better in wsbk. and yes, no way will the performance of race spec proddy bikes come anywhere near gp's prototypes anytime soon, if ever.
