Pink Floyd played on a floating barge in the lagoon. Broadcast on
European TV and simulcast on radio. Contrary to the reports, the Floyd didn't
cause any structural damage to the city. The group agreed to lower their volume
to 60 dbs instead of their regular levels. Unfortunately, 200.000 fans left a
ton of trash littered across the square)

(The concert was a benefit for Nordoff-Robbins Music Theraphy Center. The
11 hous concert featured performance by Tears For Fears, Status Quo, Cliff
Richard, Robert Plant (with Jimmy Page), Phil Collins, Genesis, Eric Clapton,
Dire Straits, Elton John, and Paul
McCartney. Pink Floyd were the closing act.
The concert was broadcast worldwide. MTV also aired a delayed video broadcast on 14/7/90, showing portions of each performance. MTV cut "Money" and "The Great Gig In The Sky" from their broadcast (46:00 total on video).
