The Intermediate school was born in the 1970 and it is dedicated to Piero Borrotzu, a young carabineer of Sardinian origin in service in this small village during the second world . He fight heroically but he was killed by the Nazim- Fascism. It is joined of the Department school of Varese-Sesta, actually directed by the headmaster Cinzia Caccone. It is located in Sesta Godano, a small village in province of La Spezia, in the valley of Vara. This valley stays in the inland of La Spezia and it is crossed by the River Vara that is one of the longest River in Liguria. The country is near “Gottero” mountain, the tallest in the province, and where the 20 January 1945 took place during the Resistence, a battle, called “The battle of Gottero”. It comprises the Commune of Sesta Godano and other small villages. Actually it is kept by 38 schoolchildren divided in 4 classes 1°A, 2°A, 3°A, 3°B. In every class there are two languages and the school offers activities of laboratory and recover, widening, strengthen also an activity of sport in the afternoon. The school, then, offers to all schoolchildren the refectory that is in the elementary school  ( Caduti della Libertà street) and also other initiatives like cultural exchange and for the third class a plan of orientation for preparing to the secondary school and discover the attitudes of each student.
