Put the first CD in. Try pressing and holding the F10 key when you turn on the computer. Should hear two beeps. Hopefully it will boot to CD

sounds like a bad hard drive, bud. you can use the hard drive diagnostics on the ultimate boot cd to verify that, but i'm 99.99% certain that's the issue
