quasi aquilone e quasi vento
quasi tutto e quasi niente
vedo i miei giorni scorrere a uno a uno
e poi inciampare nella tua esistenza
che ha si giorni diversi
e forse addirittura un pò più lunghi
ma anche incantevoli paure
che mi ricordano i miei primi passi.
Solleverò il tuo sguardo fino al limite
schiuderò con dolcezza la tua rosa
ma non so se riuscirò a trasmetterti
torno a chiudermi in me
in attesa che tu rifaccia il giorno.

Uncertain between the scent of something
which dissolves slowly its essence
and the safe refuge of my rites
where I hide myself from nostalgia
hanging between the dying moment
and the salty ritual of fire and sweat
chained by days
slave of the words
pale as mirage of supposed island
almost kite and almost wind
nearly all and quasi nothing
I see my days flowing one by one
and then them stumbling into your life
which have of course different
and maybe even little longer days
but also charming fears
which remember me my first steps.
I will raise your eyes up to the limit
I will tenderly open up your rose
but I do not know if I can pass to you
what I heard when you gave my birth.
One by one are falling all my thoughts
approaches me the silence of memories
rises the loneliness of the vacuum
and you challenge me with your laughter
until the battle which sees me defeated.
One day the sun will become fog
and you'll stay still where you are now
lying down like dust of centuries
and building stones only with the sand.
Sometimes I am poisoning by fear
sometimes my voice becomes uncertain
sometimes the dark swallows my reason
but you are standing still at the threshold
and what you do not give then you
demand.
At the end you disappear
and puzzled by the silence
I look for other traces of your passage
or an echo taking back your voice
but whenever defeated
I back down concentrating on me
waiting for you get daylight again.
