non c'è orientamento

né capo né coda

soltanto un remoto presente

che soffoca l'immaginazione.

Ma è nella penombra

quando sfuma il colore

e calano i grigi di nebbia

dove i suoni galleggiano lenti

che tu puoi riconoscere il segno

e così mentre tutto si spegne

e ritornano i passi di un bimbo

tu rivisiti le tue prime stanze

e scopri la porta sbarrata di un tempo

socchiusa da un raggio di luce

che ti invita ad entrare.

wherever present
alike close and far
too much uniform.

you can find your way
there are no signs
no direction
neither head nor tail
only a remote present
which stifles the imagination.
 

But in the twilight
when fades the color
and falls the gray fog
where sound floats slowly
you can recognize the sign
and so while all is turning off
and moving back the steps of a child
you revisit your first rooms
