Marvellous German valve tester (one of the best tester ever produced in the world). The unit, of very high dimensions and weight, has a crossbar selector

which allows the selection  of the individual testing voltages at any valve socket, putting pins into the proper hole.

Meraviglioso prova-valvole Tedesco (certamente uno dei migliori mai prodotti al mondo). L’apparecchio, di notevoli dimensioni e peso,presenta

un particolare  selettore a “cross-bar” molto utile per la selezione delle tensioni richieste, mediante l’inserimento di spinotti nei fori appropriati.

In detail can be used 6 roughly and fine adjustable tensions:

A)        Filament voltage (Heizung) from 0 to 200 V, supervised by a moving-coil instrument. For the rough stages 25-200 V this instrument is also used

for current measurements  into the heater electric circuit (Heizstromkreis) up to 0.4 Amp. and/or 0.2 Amp.

B)        2 negative DC grid voltages up to 100 V, supervised by a moving-coil instrument switchable between the two tensions “U I” and “U II”

C)       2 positive DC grid voltages up to 500 V, supervised by an instrument switchable between the two tensions “U III” and “U IV” .

D)       Anode - DC voltage up to 500 V, supervised by an own instrument.

Nel dettaglio possono essere usate 6 tensioni (regolabili in modo approssimativo e in modo fine):

A)        Voltaggio del filamento (Heizung) da 0 a 200V, sorvegliabile grazie ad un apposito strumento con meter moving coil. Per i gradi grossolani 25-200V

lo strumento misura anche la corrente nel circuito fino a 0.4 A e/o 0.2 A.

B)        Due voltaggi negativi (in CC) di griglia di controllo (UI e UII) selezionabili (ciascuno separatamente) fino a 100V, verificabili da un proprio strumento

che ha un selettore per la scelta tra UI e UII.

C)        Due voltaggi positivi (in CC) di griglia di controllo (UIII e UIV), selezionabili separatamente fino a 500V,con selettore di scambio UIII / UIV

D)        Voltaggio anodico (in CC) fino a 500V, sorvegliabile mediante strumento dedicato.

An example of test-card (prüfkarte)

The test-cards are very useful because they allow more fast and accurate testing procedures. Overlapping the card on the cross-bar device,

all electrodes tensions can set in the correct position of the appropriate socket.  

Le test-card sono molto utili perché consentono un esame più rapido e preciso (scongiurando il rischio di inserire i perni in posizioni sbagliate).

Sovrapponendo la card  sul dispositivo cross-bar, si potranno selezionare le posizioni corrette dello specifico ingresso della valvola.
