Special Relativity: Translating Spinning Disk Simulation

This is the simulation of the Lorentz distortion of a translating and spinning disk. The disk is painted in black and white. However, a solid disk would break apart when spinning at relativistic speeds, because of the relativistic compression of distances (unless it was already spinning when it was built); the fracture that would probably result is shown in red.

The code is not optimized at all, but Firefox takes a fraction of a second to recompute the picture on my PC. back download page source
