At 6 a.m. Sunday, Dec. 7, 1941, nearly 200 Japanese planes attacked the U.S. Pacific Fleet at Pearl Harbor. As we look back on that tragic event 65 years ago it is worthy to note that two Galesburg youths were unfortunately early casualties as a result of the surprise attack.
