Associazione Modellistica Kombat Italia Busto Arsizio .......Italy       Ekateringburg Russia 18-19 - February 2006   42° ARMY Russian Cup ........F2D Ekateringburg Cathedral Sport Centrum   Report  At temperature of -18° - 15° Celsius 2 days of intensive combat with fifty flyers on icing lake in centre of Ekateringburg (Central Russia, siberia). 2 circle designed on ice with a superb organisation in 2 days of strong challenge between pilots from central and east Russia mostly are still in force at the Russian Army make a turnover during the flying time. Very interesting the system for start the engines and fly with the low temperature, the accumulators normally has a spiral wire for reduce or increase the voltage according the necessity, the fuel is stored in a Thermos like a tea or coffee bottle after heating a little on fire, this system permit at the castor oil to remain fluid. Also flying on ice was pretty nice if the model fall down, always the propeller never broken...... The winner . Vladimir Schercenko from Novosibirk beat in final Vadim Koramazov, for 4-2. 3 th place to Vadim Arifov against Alex Kalmicov 5 - 4. My palace 38th after lost 2 matches but with high scores both over 390 points. My problem was that I'm using OPS cone plugs with 0,25 wire size, and for this kind ok clima are too big I didn't think about this matter so my mechanic start the engine immediately and left running for one minute at the ground. I was in winner position after 2 cuts and Arifov fall down but my fuel finished 15 second before the end.. lost for 10 points... The second match 3 - 3 cut but smash models and my adversary can flown just a bit and won for few second of difference... Great experience and honor for me, for the atmosphere where I meet after years many great pilots as Netcukin, Faizov, Arivov Kalmicov, Valodia and so many others, the cordiality of the president of Ekateringburg model club and the Jury that let me take part at the competion. A special thanks to my great friend and mechanic Yaroslav Babenzev, Gleb's brother, one of the best mechanics in the world that reserve for me a special treatment like a brother...
